Volcanoes and dinosaurs
Volcanoes were active throughout the age of dinosaurs, just as they are today. Enormous volcanic eruptions in what is now India were happening around the time the non-bird dinosaurs died out, alongside a large asteroid impact.
The world dinosaurs lived in
There was no grass for most of the age of dinosaurs. Landscapes were filled with ferns, horsetails, cycads and conifers, and flowering plants only became common late in the Cretaceous Period. The continents were also in different positions from today.
