Velociraptor had feathers
Fossil forearm bones of Velociraptor carry small bumps called quill knobs. In birds today, those bumps are where wing feathers attach. That is strong evidence that Velociraptor was covered in feathers, even though it could not fly.
About the Velociraptor
Velociraptor was a small, fast meat-eating dinosaur that lived in what is now Mongolia and northern China, around 75 to 71 million years ago. Including its long stiff tail it measured about two metres from nose to tail tip, and it stood roughly knee-high to an adult person.

- A real Velociraptor was about the size of a large turkey.
